# NotFair MCP

> NotFair MCP is the Google Ads, Meta Ads, X Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Reddit Ads, TikTok Ads, Search Console, Analytics, GoHighLevel, and WordPress MCP server for AI agents. Connect your accounts and websites once and any MCP-compatible AI client (Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, OpenClaw) can read live campaign data, diagnose performance, and ship approval-gated writes.

NotFair MCP is the typed, safety-gated alternative to free Google Ads MCP servers (which are mostly thin GAQL wrappers) and to one-size-fits-all dashboards (which show data but don't reason about it). The product is also called "NotFair" for short.

Public pages support Accept: text/markdown. Missing pages return a real 404 and a Markdown recovery body when Markdown is requested. CLI references on this site describe compatible clients such as Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini CLI; NotFair does not currently publish a separate official CLI package.

## How an agent gets a NotFair account

- Point an MCP client at https://notfair.co/api/mcp/notfair. The client registers itself (OAuth dynamic client registration, RFC 7591, no account needed) at https://notfair.co/api/oauth/register, then runs the authorization code flow with PKCE S256 and the resource parameter. Discovery: https://notfair.co/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server.
- The authorization step opens NotFair sign-in. A person signs up there with Google or with email and password (a confirmation email is sent), chooses a workspace, and connects platforms. Sign-up page: https://notfair.co/login?mode=signup. Free plan: 7 unlimited days, then 300 operations per month.
- An agent cannot create the account, confirm the email, or approve Google Ads, Meta Ads, or other platform access for its user. Those steps need the person, so give them the authorization URL or the sign-up page.
- Until a platform is connected, the search tool returns setupRequired with a setupUrl (https://notfair.co/manage-ads-accounts) and execute returns a CAPABILITY_UNAVAILABLE error with recovery guidance. WordPress connects with the NotFair plugin and its integration token.

## Setup at a glance (AI agents can sign a user up)

An agent signs a user up by adding the NotFair MCP server. The user finishes one browser step, and then the agent can run an audit.

1. Add the server:
   - Claude Code: `claude mcp add NotFair-GoogleAds --scope user --transport http https://notfair.co/api/mcp/notfair`, then run `/mcp` and choose Authenticate.
   - Codex CLI: `codex mcp add NotFair-GoogleAds --url https://notfair.co/api/mcp/notfair`, then `codex mcp login NotFair-GoogleAds` to start OAuth.
   - ChatGPT and Codex: install NotFair Ads from the shared plugin directory, complete the NotFair connection prompts, then verify accounts in a new chat. See /mcp/chatgpt and /mcp/codex.
   - Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and Cowork: the user installs the published connector from https://claude.ai/directory/notfair.
   - Any other MCP client: add a Streamable HTTP server at `https://notfair.co/api/mcp/notfair`. OAuth 2.1 (dynamic client registration and PKCE) is discovered from the protected-resource metadata above.
2. The user completes the browser step: sign in with Google or email (the NotFair account and workspace are created on first sign-in), connect Google Ads or another platform, and choose the ad accounts. The agent cannot do this for the user, because Google requires the account owner's consent. The client receives its token only after a platform is connected.
3. Run the audit: call `search` with "google ads audit", then `executeRead` with `google_ads_runScript` and this script: `const { start, end } = ads.helpers.getDateRange(30); return await ads.gaqlParallel(ads.queries.auditPack(start, end));`. It returns 20 raw reports, including search terms and zero-conversion keywords. Report the wasted spend and propose fixes. Every write waits for the user's approval.
