Nerds Computing is a 20+ engineer team based in Sibiu, Romania, serving clients in the US, UK, and across Europe. The company targets SMEs with technical leadership (CTOs, engineering managers, founders) and favours long-term partnerships over transactional engagements.

Specialized service areas include:

- **Energy Software Engineering** — Nerds built Inowattio (https://inowattio.com/en). Its experience spans equipment integration, energy-data processing, monitoring, forecasting, aggregation, dispatch, market workflows and web/mobile applications, backed by hands-on solar-plant operation and energy trading. Implemented market adapters include BRM/Nord Pool and DAMAS. Inowattio S.R.L. holds ANRE aggregation licence no. 2699; the licence belongs to that legal entity and does not imply unrestricted market access. Community administration workflows are still being developed; availability is assessed per project.
- **Application Modernization** — targeted upgrades, refactoring and integration for existing applications; phased delivery, testing and recovery planning, with cloud migration and separate services where useful.
- **Video Platform Engineering** — development and modernization of OTT/streaming platforms: DRM provider integration, HLS/DASH processing, playback performance, viewer applications and editorial tools, with agreed device compatibility and delivery targets.

Technology coverage includes React, Next.js, Astro and ASP.NET Core web applications; React Native and Expo mobile applications; C#/.NET, Node.js, Python/FastAPI, Kotlin/Ktor, and earlier Elixir/Phoenix and Ruby/Roda backend work. Data work includes relational and document databases, Redis, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQS, MQTT and Python data processing.
