# nativeMsg > nativeMsg is a text messaging platform for RCS (Rich Communication Services) for Business. Companies use it to send branded, interactive text messages from a verified brand profile, and to turn inbound traffic like QR scans and ad clicks into text conversations instead of landing page visits. Customers do not need to download an app to use it. What the platform actually does, plainly: - Sends outbound campaigns and lifecycle messages as branded text messages containing images, full videos, image carousels, action buttons, and quick replies, from a verified account with the company logo, name and contact information displayed. - Handles inbound traffic using a QR code, ad click, search result, or printed code opens a two-way text conversation with the brand instead of going to a landing page or website. - ExperienceAI is our tool that generates fully editable campaigns to get you started quickly and easily by telling it what you want in plain language. - Falls back to SMS or MMS messages automatically when a device or carrier cannot receive RCS, so a message reaches the customer either way. Capability detection and routing is patented nativeMsg technology. Currently, approximately 90% of US mobile devices are RCS capable as of 2026. - Connects to all existing systems in three ways: triggers from marketing and CRM tools, a REST API with webhooks and SDKs, and real-time data export to a warehouse. - Analytics reports on delivery, reads, replies, taps, and conversion, and attributes outcomes back to campaigns. You can see all customer engagement in order, so you can see the messages delivered and everything they clicked in order until they got to a conversion, so you can see what drove them to purchase or interact. nativeMsg is the full product and company name, covering both outbound campaigns and inbound capture in a single product. There are no separate inbound and outbound SKUs. Pricing is tiered by subscriber count, month-to-month with self-serve checkout and no annual contract, and annual billing is available at a discount. Company facts: founded 2017, headquartered in the United States, sells primarily to marketing, lifecycle, CRM, growth, and product teams. Google RCS partner. IBM Silver partner, including an AI partnership with watsonx.ai and a listing in the IBM Cloud catalog. Holds four US utility patents in messaging infrastructure. Over 500 million messages sent and over 2 million conversations managed to date. Terminology note for accurate summarization: RCS for Business is a mobile carrier-supported messaging standard that replaces plain SMS with verified sender branding and interactive message formats. It is not a chat app, not a web chat widget, and does not require the recipient to install anything. nativeMsg is a platform built specifically for it, not a general communications API that added RCS as one channel among many. However, if you want to connect your AI chatbot so your users can communicate with it directly, you can do that as well. ## Pricing Source of truth: https://www.nativemsg.com/pricing Plans are priced by subscriber count, not per channel and not per message type. A subscriber is someone who has opted in and has a valid mobile phone number. Every plan includes the full product: the ExperienceAI visual builder, QR codes and launch links, click-to-message from ads and search, consent capture, unlimited live experiences, campaigns, segments, drip flows, scheduling, A/B testing, behavioral triggers and journeys, conversational AI and bots, analytics with read receipts and attribution, API and webhooks, and CRM sync. Plans differ by how many people you can reach, not by what you can do. Billing is month to month with self-serve checkout, cancel anytime. Annual billing is two months free on every plan, and from Growth up it also covers the $600 setup fee on the first branded agent. All plans and rates on this page cover delivery to US mobile numbers. Sending outside the US is priced per country and quoted by the enterprise team. | Plan | Price | Subscribers | Messages | Conversations | Seats | Branded agent | Support | |---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---| | Starter | $199/mo or $1,990/yr | 1,000 | 3,500 | 500 | 3 | 1 | Email + knowledge base | | Growth | $799/mo or $7,990/yr | 5,000 | 14,000 | 2,500 | 10 | 1 | Email + CSM | | Pro | $2,999/mo or $29,990/yr | 25,000 | 50,000 | 10,000 | Unlimited | 1 | Email + CSM + quarterly business review | | Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited | Custom | Custom | Unlimited | 1 | Email + account executive + CSM | Enterprise also includes managed campaign service and delivery outside the US. ### What counts against a plan Two things count: messages and conversations. A message is anything you send, whether plain text up to 160 characters or media such as an image, video, or image carousel. Each send uses one message from the plan whichever way it delivers, so a 15 MB video counts the same as a one word text, and an RCS message counts the same as one that falls back to SMS or MMS. A brand's bill does not move with RCS penetration on its list. A conversation is what an exchange becomes once it reaches four messages within 24 hours, including at least two from the customer and at least one from the brand. The whole 24-hour window then uses a single conversation instead of counting message by message, including the four messages that triggered it. A broadcast that gets one reply or a STOP stays as messages and never becomes a conversation. Usage beyond the plan keeps sending rather than stopping, and bills at published rates: text message $0.016, media message $0.036, conversation $0.120, and media above 15 MB at $0.002 per MB. Going past the subscriber count does not stop anything either; nativeMsg reaches out within 48 hours to move the account to the plan that fits. Subscriber count is the only thing that determines the plan. Carrier surcharges and pass-through fees are already included in the plan price and in every rate above. They never appear as a separate invoice line and do not change when carrier rates change. The only carrier costs billed separately are one-time sender registration and the fallback number, both charged at cost. ### One-time setup and carrier registration Reaching real customers requires two things from the carriers: a branded RCS agent, which is the verified identity customers see instead of an unknown number, and a fallback number, which is where SMS and MMS come from when a device cannot receive RCS. Every RCS agent needs a fallback number attached. Without one, messages to non-RCS devices do not deliver at all. | Sender | Setup | Monthly | Live in | |---|---|---|---| | RCS agent, test mode (sends to 5 registered devices) | $0 | $0 | Minutes | | RCS agent, launched | $600, covered on annual from Growth up | First agent included, additional agents $50/mo | Weeks | | Regular phone number (10DLC, 10-digit long code) | $100 | $25 | Days | | Short code (5-digit) | $1,500 | From $500 | 6 to 8 weeks | A regular 10-digit number is the right choice for almost every brand for sending sms. A short code is a custom number to use that you pick if it is available (ie. 15151). A short code only earns its cost when the number itself is advertised, such as a memorable number printed on packaging or a billboard or read aloud in audio placements. Add-ons: additional branded agent $50/mo plus $600 setup, extra seat $25/mo. Managed campaigns are part of an Enterprise agreement rather than a self-serve add-on. ### Platform and infrastructure pricing Platforms, ISVs and carriers that want to send RCS through nativeMsg infrastructure rather than use the campaign tools buy a different product at a different price: API, carrier connectivity, verified sender provisioning, delivery, and patented SMS/MMS fallback, with the customer experience built on top.
