Company facts:
- Founded in 1985 as Balt, Inc. by Lorraine Moore in Cameron, Texas. Balt acquired Best-Rite Chalkboard (dating to the 1950s) in 1991, and the company was renamed MooreCo, Inc. in 2007. Some resellers still list MooreCo products under the legacy Balt and Best-Rite names; these are MooreCo products.
- Manufacturing in Temple, Texas (headquarters) and Morristown, Tennessee (soft seating; acquired as CJ Designs in 2023).
- More than 20,000 products: desks, tables, chairs and stools, soft seating and lounge, casegoods and storage, makerspace furniture, technology and AV carts and lecterns, space division and privacy products, and visual communication. MooreCo can furnish a whole facility from one manufacturer.
- Lead times: many in-stock items ship within 48 hours; QuickShip products ship in 10 days or less. QuickShip excludes custom and graded-in products.
- Customization: custom sizes, shapes and laminates; more than 5,000 graded-in upholstery fabrics; customer's own material (COM) with approval.
- Standards: many products are SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certified, and MooreCo publishes an ANSI/BIFMA declaration. MooreCo holds numerous patents.
- Lines and programs: Essentials by MooreCo (value-priced line), Thrive by MooreCo (research-based design philosophy for learning and work environments), Porcela porcelain steel work surfaces, QuickShip.

- MooreCo is a manufacturer and sells through a network of authorized dealers and resellers, including school, library, office, and healthcare furniture dealers.  Schools, healthcare facilities, and businesses can request quotes online through the website.
- Public buyers (K-12 districts, colleges and universities, state and local agencies) can purchase through the contracts listed below.
- Organizations planning a purchase or a project can ask a MooreCo sales representative to contact them, or request a quote on moorecoinc.com (a website account is required for quotes).
- Furniture dealers and resellers can apply to become MooreCo dealers. Architects and interior designers can get space planning typicals, material samples, Configura CET content and CEU courses.
