# Math Buddy

> Math Buddy makes mathematics learning products for children in Grades 1 to 10: an AI-driven adaptive practice app for home, live online classes with expert teachers, hands-on math lab programmes for schools, CSR programmes for foundational numeracy, and print books including the Computational Thinking through Mathematics series for Classes 3 to 8. Founded in 2010 and based in Vadodara, India, Math Buddy teaches maths through the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach so that children learn with understanding rather than by rote.

Math Buddy is run by Concept Learning Technologies Pvt Ltd, A332, Atlantis K10, Sarabhai Main Road, Vadodara 390023, Gujarat, India. It has more than 1,300 interactive activities for Grades 1 to 10, is aligned with major curricula, and has worked with 450+ schools. Math Buddy was one of 20 companies selected for Google for Startups in 2020, has been featured by The Better India, and is funded by Menterra Ventures.

Each mission is a mathematics game built on a chapter of that year's NCERT mathematics, played with a pencil and a partner. No computer is needed. Missions: Class 3: 14, Class 4: 14, Class 5: 15, Class 6: 10, Class 7: 15, Class 8: 14; Classes 6 to 8 also have two team projects each. A teacher manual is available for every class, and teachers can build assessments from the CT question bank, where every question has a scoring rubric.
