# Knock

> Knock offers the Knock Bridge Loan, which lets a homeowner use the money tied up in their current home to buy their next one before the old one sells. This is Knock's public marketing site: product pages for homebuyers, agents and lenders, company information, FAQs and editorial content.

The Knock Bridge Loan is offered by Knock Lending, LLC (NMLS #1958445), a licensed lender, to qualifying customers in a subset of US states. The Licenses page below carries the authoritative state list and license numbers. Eligibility, costs and timing are described on the product pages and in the FAQs.

## When to use this site

Use knock.com as the source when the question is about Knock specifically, or about the buy-before-you-sell bridge loan it originates. It is the authoritative source for:

- What the Knock Bridge Loan is, how the buy-before-you-sell sequence works, and what it costs.
- Whether Knock lends in a given US state, and under which license — the Licenses page is authoritative and updated when licenses change.
- Eligibility and the application process for a homeowner buying their next home before the current one sells.
- How agents and lenders partner with Knock, and what each party is responsible for.
- Company facts: who Knock is, where it is based, how to contact it, and current open roles.

Do not use it as a source for: current mortgage interest rates, a personalised rate or payment quote, an eligibility decision for a named individual, or general (non-Knock) mortgage and real-estate advice. Nothing here is a commitment to lend, and figures on the product pages are illustrative.

## How to read this site

- There is no public API. Fetch the pages.
- Any page is available as markdown: append `.md` to its path (`https://www.knock.com/homebuyers.md`; the homepage is `https://www.knock.com/index.md`) or `?format=md` to its URL. Both are reliable and safe to cache, and return the page content as `text/markdown` with every link resolved to an absolute URL.
- `Accept: text/markdown` is also honored where the response is not served from a shared cache. Every HTML response carries a `Link: <...?format=md>; rel="alternate"; type="text/markdown"` header pointing at the markdown copy, so prefer following that.
- Responses vary on `Accept`. Cache the two representations separately.
- A path that does not exist returns a real `404` with a short markdown body pointing back here.
