# K-1 CLASSICS

> K-1 CLASSICS (k-1.info) is a Japanese-language archive of the golden era of K-1 kickboxing (1993–2008): archived K-1 WORLD GRAND PRIX results, the full champion lineage, and profiles of 388+ fighters. K-1 CLASSICSは、K-1黄金期（1993〜2008年）の大会結果・歴代王者・選手名鑑を保存した日本語アーカイブです。

K-1 is a kickboxing promotion founded in Japan in 1993 that popularized stand-up striking worldwide through its annual K-1 WORLD GRAND PRIX heavyweight tournament. This site documents the golden era (1993–2008): every WORLD GP champion, event cards and results by year, fighter records, and the rules of K-1. Notable champions include Branko Cikatić, Peter Aerts, Ernesto Hoost, Andy Hug, Mark Hunt, Remy Bonjasky, and Semmy Schilt.

## Scope and source limitations
- Historical records are preserved for the period covered by each original page; fighter totals are not necessarily full-career records or current statistics.
- Some original profiles, photographs, event reports and individual fields could not be recovered. Placeholder images and recovery notices identify these gaps. Reconstructed event pages cite their archive sources and may not include the complete fight card.
- Historical rules and retired PRIDE service notices are archive material. The old newsletter and voting pages do not accept submissions.
