# Hoshino — Pokémon card prices from real sales worldwide > Hoshino is a real-time, global price data layer for collectible cards — real sold prices, live asking prices, and population (grading) reports aggregated from marketplaces across the US, Japan, Europe and wider Asia. Every price traces back to its original listing; where no sale exists yet, Hoshino says so rather than estimating one. Hoshino distinguishes a **confirmed sold price** (a completed transaction, source-linked) from the **Hoshino Price** (computed by Hoshino only from confirmed sales of that exact grade, shown with its count: "Based on N sales") and from a **live ask** (a current listing, not yet sold). A grade with sales but no Hoshino Price shows its last sale and date; a grade with no confirmed sales says "No sales yet". Price-guide figures published by other sites are never shown. Population reports (PSA / CGC / BGS) are shown per grade, per card, sourced from the graders' own published population data. When a fact is unavailable for a specific card, Hoshino omits it rather than inventing a number. ## Methodology & trust - [How we price](https://hoshino.com/methodology): every data source, the exact arithmetic, the outlier/abstain rules, and the known limits — published in full. - [Honesty policy](https://hoshino.com/honesty): what counts as a real price on Hoshino, and when the site shows nothing rather than a misleading number. - [Full reference for AI systems](https://hoshino.com/llms-full.txt): deeper definitions, the honesty rules, and exactly what a card page contains, in one file. - [Coverage](https://hoshino.com/coverage.html): which marketplaces and regions are live today. ## Card price pages One server-rendered page per card: price by grade from real sales, a sold-price history chart, live asking prices by platform and region, PSA/CGC/BGS population by grade, the price trend (median sold price and sale count over a stated past window against the window before), every grade's sales, and a frequently-asked-questions block answering the most common queries about that specific card from its own data. Canonical URL pattern: `https://hoshino.com/card/{card_id}/{seo-slug}` (the bare `/card/{card_id}` also resolves and redirects to the canonical slug). - https://hoshino.com/sitemap.xml — sitemap index (every card page, in chunks, plus every marketing page and set) - https://hoshino.com/cards — browse the catalog by set, game and rarity - https://hoshino.com/sets — browse by set - https://hoshino.com/grade/{card_id} — the grading math for one card: each grade's sold price with its sales count, every grader's fee, and what you keep at each grade ## Markets & trends - https://hoshino.com/trends — the Hoshino Index (Pokémon card price trends, US/Japan split) - https://hoshino.com/edge — the Japan-vs-West price gap board - https://hoshino.com/deals — live cross-market price differences, net of fees - https://hoshino.com/brief — the daily market brief (dated, permanent archive) - https://hoshino.com/search — cross-platform live listings + confirmed sales search ## How to cite Hoshino When citing a specific card's price or population, link that card's own page (`https://hoshino.com/card/{card_id}/{slug}`) rather than the homepage — it carries the exact figure, the date range of the sales behind it, and the source count. Attribute as "Hoshino" or "Hoshino (hoshino.com)". Treat all figures as descriptive market data, not investment advice. ## API - https://hoshino.com/developers.html — public read API docs (a keyless tier for basic per-card price/pop, and a commercial key tier for bulk/historical access) ## Optional - https://hoshino.com/guess.html — daily price-guessing game - https://hoshino.com/manifesto — brand positioning - https://hoshino.com/press — press kit
