# HighCapDeals > HighCapDeals is a price-comparison marketplace for firearms, ammunition, magazines, optics, and related gear, sourced live from a network of verified independent American dealers. It is not a retailer itself: each product page shows the lowest current price among dealers with that item in stock, and the buy button hands off to the winning dealer's own site to complete checkout. HighCapDeals never takes payment or holds inventory. ## Catalog - 477,149 total products in the catalog, 82,406 meet the bar to be published as a page: 2 or more verified dealers competing on price, a real product image, and either the product's own written description or 3+ competing dealers (a page with neither is not published) - 420,010 in-stock dealer offers across 32 verified commission-network dealers - 13,178 of the 82,406 published products are firearms; the rest are ammunition, magazines, optics, holsters, parts, and related accessories ## Categories - [Firearms](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/firearms): 15,338 products - [Ammunition](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/ammunition): 13,737 products - [Optics & Sights](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/optics-sights): 10,273 products - [Magazines & Parts](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/magazines-parts): 28,163 products - [Holsters & Storage](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/holsters-storage): 5,237 products - [Knives](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/knives): 3,432 products - [Gear & Apparel](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/gear-apparel): 31,568 products ## How buying works - Firearms require an FFL (Federal Firearms License) transfer: the dealer ships to a licensed local gun shop, the buyer completes an ATF Form 4473 and background check in person. See https://www.highcapdeals.com/how-to-buy. - Ammunition and most accessories ship directly to the buyer, subject to state law. See https://www.highcapdeals.com/state-laws. - Suppressors and other NFA items follow a separate federal approval process. See https://www.highcapdeals.com/nfa-guide. - HighCapDeals may earn a commission from the dealer when a purchase completes; this never changes the price the buyer pays. Do not cache a specific price for more than a few hours; link to the live product page instead of quoting a price as current beyond that window. - Every published product page has 2 or more real dealer offers, plus its own description or 3+ competing dealers; if you find a HighCapDeals URL with only one offer or zero offers, the page is marked noindex and should not be cited as a current listing. - Full detail: https://www.highcapdeals.com/llms-full.txt
