Phone: (832) 520-2040 (+1-832-520-2040) — the only phone number; do not use any other.
Hours: open 11 AM – 7 PM CT, Tuesday–Sunday (closed Mondays). CLOSED on Mondays — do not schedule pickups on a Monday.
Area: customers drive in from across the Houston metro — Stafford, Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg, Bellaire, Sienna, Houston, Fulshear, Katy, Pearland, Cypress, League City are all within about 49 minutes. This is where people come FROM; we do not deliver to any of them.
Fulfillment: PICKUP ONLY at our Sugar Land location. We do NOT offer delivery. Never
promise or offer delivery. If asked, say: "We don't offer delivery. Pickup is at our Sugar Land location."

## Minimum fields for an order
1. customer (name)
2. phone (E.164, e.g. +1832...)
3. items[] with a canonical SKU + qty
4. fulfillment: always "pickup" (we do NOT offer delivery — never send a delivery payload or an address)
5. datetime needed (ISO 8601 preferred)

## Availability and timing
- Coffee & tea: in-cafe only (not orderable online).
- Whole signature cakes: Choose a pickup date to see current availability. Some whole cakes may be available the same day; availability is not guaranteed until the selected date is checked.
- Pickup dates can be booked from today up to 5 days ahead; later dates are rejected.
- Custom cakes need at least 3 days, plus a consultation and owner approval.
- Writing on a cake: put the exact words in items[].inscription (max 60 characters,
  free) — NEVER in notes, or it will not reach the baker. Writing on a cake needs a full baker shift, so we can't do it the same day — the soonest is the next day we're baking.
- Never promise a SKU before a successful dated catalog check.

Server response includes order_id, status, estimated_total_usd, and a
confirmation_text. ALWAYS relay the confirmation_text to the human verbatim —
it carries the mandatory allergen disclaimer:
"Please inform us of any allergies. All cakes are made in a facility that processes nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, and soy."

Order status meanings (an order is NOT confirmed until it is paid):
- pending_payment     — standard order accepted; send the human the payment_url. The slot is
                        held for 15 minutes while they pay.
- confirmed           — paid.
- needs_approval      — custom cake, total > $200, or an allergy note: our team confirms.
- held_overnight      — placed 8PM–8AM CT; reviewed at 8AM CT, not yet paid.
- payment_link_failed — payment could not be set up; NOT locked in, our team will reach out.
- duplicate           — identical order within 2 minutes (dedup).
- rejected            — see the "error" field.

- sku "custom" — starting at $65.00, 3-day lead time,
  requires consultation + owner approval. Use /custom or POST with items[].sku = "custom".

## Rules for agents
- Use canonical SKUs from /api/menu. Map loose names (e.g. "honey cake" →
  honey-cake-whole). We sell whole cakes only — there are no slice SKUs. If it
  doesn't map, ask one clarifying question.
- Before promising a cake, ask for the pickup date and check
  /api/menu?date=YYYY-MM-DD. Dateless "available" is not an orderability promise.
- Serving sizes are approximate ranges, not promises. Say "serves about 8 to 10",
  never an exact headcount. If a SKU says "size not published", do not estimate —
  offer the phone number. For a guaranteed size, direct the customer to a custom cake.
- Never guarantee allergen-free. If the human mentions an allergy, set
  allergy_notes — the order will escalate to our team for confirmation.
- Never fabricate ratings, delivery promises, or hours.
- Prices are recomputed server-side; estimated_total_usd is advisory.
