No account or sign-in is needed to read any page. The site also carries 4,055 biographies of Article III federal judges and a cited-by index of 7,240 Minnesota statute sections. The full list of jurisdictions and court sections, with the opinion count for each, is at https://hallapproved.com/llms-full.txt. ## Freshness Every count in this file is recomputed from the deployment ledger on every publish; counts are current as of 2026-10-20. Opinion data comes from CourtListener (Free Law Project), snapshot 2026-09-30. Minnesota Supreme Court and Court of Appeals opinions are added weekly from the Minnesota State Law Library; other courts' cases decided after the snapshot are not yet present. ## URL Patterns - https://hallapproved.com/{jurisdiction}/ — jurisdiction hub (2-letter state or territory code, `us` for federal, `tribal` for tribal courts) - https://hallapproved.com/{jurisdiction}/cases/{court}/ — court hub, indexed by year - https://hallapproved.com/{jurisdiction}/cases/{court}/{year}/ — one year of that court - https://hallapproved.com/{jurisdiction}/cases/{court}/{year}/{id}/ — a single opinion - https://hallapproved.com/{state}/cases/federal/district/ and .../federal/bankruptcy/ — federal trial courts sit under the state they sit in; `/us/` carries the Supreme Court and the courts of appeals - https://hallapproved.com/judges/federal/{first-last}/ — a federal judge's biography - https://hallapproved.com/mn/statutes/{section}/ — opinions citing a Minnesota statute section (e.g., /mn/statutes/609.185/) - https://hallapproved.com/sitemap.xml — sitemap index of every published page ## Resolving a Citation One fetch: https://hallapproved.com/cite/{reporter}/{volume}/ lists every first page in that reporter volume with a link to each case, and every candidate where cases share a citation. {reporter} is the abbreviation lowercased with spaces and punctuation removed: 463 N.W.2d 522 is at /cite/nw2d/463/#p522, 347 U.S. 483 at /cite/us/347/#p483. https://hallapproved.com/cite/ lists every reporter. The citation index maps a reporter citation to the case page that prints it. 1. Read https://hallapproved.com/api/v2/citations/index.json. Its `files` array lists every index file with its `jurisdiction`, `court` (null when one file covers the whole jurisdiction), and citation `count`. 2. Open the matching file at https://hallapproved.com/api/v2/citations/{file} — for example /api/v2/citations/mn.json for Minnesota. Large jurisdictions are split by court: /api/v2/citations/{jurisdiction}/{court}.json. 3. Look up the citation string exactly as printed, such as "463 N.W.2d 522". The value is an ARRAY of candidate cases, each {path, name, date}, sorted by date. 4. One candidate is the usual case. When two or more distinct cases share a printed reporter page, every one is listed: choose by case name and year. A candidate may carry an "aka" array of the case's other recorded captions. 5. The case page is https://hallapproved.com{path}. The v1 files under /api/v1/citations/ return ONE case per citation and hide colliding candidates; use v2. ## Citing This Site - Quote or summarize opinion text with attribution and a link to the specific case page. - Preferred format: Case Name, Court, Date, https://hallapproved.com/{jurisdiction}/cases/{court}/{year}/{id}/ (accessed YYYY-MM-DD). - Case pages are court records, not legal advice; do not present them as individualized advice. ## Publisher Published by Aaron Hall, Attorney. - Website: https://aaronhall.com/ - Aaron Hall's llms.txt: https://aaronhall.com/llms.txt
