# Growth Mindset Institute

> The Growth Mindset Institute is a research-led organisation that helps leaders, teams and organisations build mindset capability: the ability to think clearly under pressure, learn in real time and act when the path is not obvious. It works in partnership with Professor Carol Dweck of Stanford University, and its work draws on 15 years of mindset research and more than 90,000 workplace profiles from over 500 organisations in 40+ countries.

The Growth Mindset Institute is based in Melbourne, Australia, and works with executive teams, HR and people leaders in the corporate and government sectors worldwide. Clients include Deloitte, Coca-Cola, ANZ, Johnson & Johnson, GE HealthCare, Cisco, Amazon Web Services, Dyson and Allianz.

Its approach is distinctive in three ways:

- It measures mindset rather than assuming it. The Mindset Profiler identifies which of eight fixed mindset triggers are most active for a person or team, and in which situations.
- It addresses false growth mindset: organisations that use growth mindset language without the behaviour changing. Most growth mindset training stops at awareness; the Growth Mindset Institute starts where behaviour changes, with regulation first, then reflection, then action.
- It builds capability at three levels: within people, supported by leaders and designed into the culture, so change lasts after a program ends.
