# Gratz Pilates > The original manufacturer of classical Pilates apparatus, handcrafting reformers, Cadillacs, chairs, barrels, mats, and accessories in Philadelphia to Joseph Pilates' exact specifications for studios, instructors, and serious home practitioners worldwide. Gratz Pilates builds authentic classical Pilates equipment by hand, the apparatus the method was originally designed around. The heritage line traces to 1929 (founded as the Treitel-Gratz Co.) and was acquired by John Riccitiello and Elizabeth Osterman in June 2024. The catalog spans high-ticket large apparatus (Universal and Archive reformers, aluminum and maple Cadillacs, Wunda and Electric chairs, ladder barrels, spine correctors, studio wall units, pedi poles), mats, accessories like the iconic foot corrector and toe exerciser, plus replacement springs, upholstery, and parts. The business serves two audiences with distinct economics: commercial studio owners and certified classical instructors who need apparatus that survives daily, multi-year use (the heritage B2B core), and dedicated home practitioners who enter through accessories and graduate toward full apparatus. Positioning is authenticity, craftsmanship, durability, and community, set against contemporary makers such as Balanced Body, Merrithew (STOTT PILATES), Peak Pilates, and BASI. The Shopify storefront ships to 170-plus countries; equipment is build-to-order, so flagship apparatus carries roughly a three-month lead time. The primary market is the United States, with strong demand across the UK, Canada, South Korea, Australia, Germany, Singapore, and beyond. ## About - [About Gratz Pilates](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/about-gratz): Mission, four core values, company history to 1929, and the June 2024 ownership change. - [Gratz Media Coverage](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/gratz-media-coverage): Press and editorial mentions of the brand and its equipment. - [Careers at Gratz Pilates](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/careers): Open roles at the Philadelphia manufacturing and operations base. ## Products - [All Equipment Collection](https://www.gratzpilates.com/collections/view-all-collection-store): The full catalog of apparatus, mats, accessories, and parts in one place. - [Universal Reformer Apparatus](https://www.gratzpilates.com/collections/universal-reformer-apparatus): The flagship reformer line built to original classical specifications. - [All Pilates Reformers](https://www.gratzpilates.com/collections/shop-all-pilates-reformers): Every reformer model and frame-material option Gratz offers. - [Cadillac Apparatus](https://www.gratzpilates.com/collections/cadillac-apparatus): Full and half Cadillacs and tower conversions in maple wood and aircraft-grade aluminum. - [Chair Apparatus](https://www.gratzpilates.com/collections/chair-apparatus): Wunda, electric, combo, and small arm chairs for the classical repertoire. - [Barrel Apparatus](https://www.gratzpilates.com/collections/barrel-apparatus): Ladder barrels, spine correctors, and small barrels. - [Pilates Mats](https://www.gratzpilates.com/collections/mats): Low folding, low rigid, high rigid, and contour mats. - [Accessories](https://www.gratzpilates.com/collections/accessories): Foot corrector, toe exerciser, magic circle, push-up device, and other props. - [Foot Corrector](https://www.gratzpilates.com/products/foot-corrector): The signature accessory and a leading non-branded entry product for the brand. - [Wunda Chair](https://www.gratzpilates.com/products/wunda-chair): Classic Wunda chair, a high-traffic individual apparatus listing. - [Spine Corrector](https://www.gratzpilates.com/products/spine-corrector): Barrel-style corrector for alignment and extension work. - [Ladder Barrel](https://www.gratzpilates.com/products/ladder-barrel): Full-size ladder barrel apparatus. - [Toe Exerciser](https://www.gratzpilates.com/products/toe-exerciser): Compact accessory for foot and toe strengthening. - [Magic Circle](https://www.gratzpilates.com/products/magic-circle): The resistance ring used across mat and apparatus work. - [Parts and Kits](https://www.gratzpilates.com/collections/parts-kits): Replacement springs, upholstery, wheels, handles, and hardware for upkeep. ## Pricing - [Gratz Pricing Philosophy](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/pricing-policy): How pricing is set, why frame material drives reformer cost, deposit-and-balance terms, and HSA/FSA acceptance. ## Documentation - [Assembly Guide](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/gratz-assembly-guide): Step-by-step assembly instructions for Gratz apparatus. - [Cleaning and How-To Instructions](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/cleaning-and-how-to-instructions): Maintenance and care guidance to protect the equipment over time. - [Space Planning Assistance](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/customer-care-space-planning-assistance): Help fitting apparatus to a studio or home layout before ordering. - [Shipping, Handling, and Pick-Up](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/shipping-handling-and-pick-up): Delivery options, freight handling, and pick-up details. - [Frequently Asked Questions](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/customer-care-faqs): Common questions on ordering, lead times, payment, and equipment. ## Resources - [Events and News Blog](https://www.gratzpilates.com/blogs/events): Workshops, community events, and brand news; the Gratz brand and heritage itself date to 1929, so the domain age understates brand age. ## Optional - [Contact Us](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/customer-care-contact-us): Reach the Gratz customer care team for orders and support. - [Returns and Exchanges](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/customer-care-returns-exchanges): Policy for returning or exchanging products. - [Warranty and Seal of Authenticity](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/customer-care-warranty-seal-of-authenticity): Coverage terms and the mark verifying genuine Gratz apparatus. - [Privacy Policy](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/customer-care-privacy-policy): How customer data is handled. - [Terms of Use](https://www.gratzpilates.com/pages/customer-care-terms-of-use): Terms governing use of the website and store. - [XML Sitemap](https://www.gratzpilates.com/sitemap.xml): Machine-readable index of all crawlable URLs. - Tech stack: the store runs on Shopify behind Cloudflare, with Mailchimp email and Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, and Plausible analytics.
