> GOLDFINGER porcelán, v.o.s. is a Czech porcelain manufactory based in Brno, producing original, mostly small-batch designer porcelain since 1998. The shop offers porcelain mugs and cups, tea and coffee pots, vases, boxes and sugar bowls, tea and coffee sets and complete dining sets. We focus on inventive design and precise craftsmanship, and we also produce custom orders for cafés, restaurants and hotels.

## Material, decoration and care

- Material: Czech porcelain of the highest quality. Porcelain is the hardest and most abrasion-resistant ceramic material and is food-safe because it is sintered - it does not absorb liquids, so nothing can leach into food or drinks.
- Production: made by hand with a high proportion of manual work, fired at 1380 °C in a reducing atmosphere.
- Batches: small-batch production in hundreds of pieces, not industrial runs of thousands.
- Colour decoration: on-glaze and in-glaze colours fired at 800 °C or 1200 °C, applied by brush or with screen-printed decals. After firing they are food-safe and tested.
- Underglaze metal-salt decoration: a traditional porcelain technique using metal chloride solutions (cobalt, chromium, iron, and gold which fires pink), giving a soft watercolour-like bleed. Very durable.
- Dishwasher and microwave: YES for items decorated with colours and with underglaze metal salts.
- Gold and platinum: decorated with pure gold or platinum without additives, fired at 800 °C. These items are delicate - we recommend careful hand washing, not the dishwasher.
- Ecology: the porcelain body is sourced in the Czech Republic and is substantially recycled - recyclate from both biscuit and glost firing waste is used as an input material. Porcelain also lasts for decades.
