# Drift Drift is an AI copilot CLI for robotics simulation. Users describe what they want in plain English at the `drift>` prompt. Drift generates URDF/SDF/MJCF robot descriptions, ROS2 package structures, Gazebo worlds, MuJoCo scenes, Isaac Sim scene specs, and launch files — then builds the workspace with colcon, runs the simulator, and manages all simulation processes. No manual config files required. Install: `curl -fsSL https://godrift.ai/install | bash` Start: `drift` (in any terminal on Ubuntu) Status: open beta. For the current version, see https://github.com/godrift-ai/drift-releases/releases (or run `/version`). No version is pinned here on purpose — a hardcoded number goes stale the moment a release ships. Just come with prompts — we handle the rest. - [Installation](https://docs.godrift.ai/getting-started/installation): System requirements and how to install Drift CLI - [Quickstart](https://docs.godrift.ai/getting-started/quickstart): Go from zero to a running robotics simulation in under 5 minutes - [FAQ](https://docs.godrift.ai/getting-started/faq): Common questions about Drift CLI - [Support](https://docs.godrift.ai/getting-started/support): Get help with Drift - reach the team by email or connect with the community on Discord. ## Guides - [Your First Simulation](https://docs.godrift.ai/guides/first-simulation): A complete walkthrough to build a pick-and-place robot simulation and launch on Gazebo from scratch with Drift - [Build manipulator arm in RViz](https://docs.godrift.ai/guides/manipulator-rviz): Build a manipulator arm simulation and inspect it live in RViz in one prompt - [Building a MuJoCo Scene](https://docs.godrift.ai/guides/mujoco-scene): Author an MJCF scene, run a headless simulation, and inspect the result — all from prompts - [Robot Library](https://docs.godrift.ai/guides/robot-library): Browse a curated library of 100+ robots, preview them in MuJoCo, RViz, or Isaac Sim, and stage them into your workspace with /robots - [Isaac Sim](https://docs.godrift.ai/guides/isaac-sim): Compose, launch, and verify NVIDIA Isaac Sim scenes from prompts — on RTX hardware - [Attaching Reference Images](https://docs.godrift.ai/guides/attaching-images): Give Drift a photo, screenshot, or datasheet page and it will use the image to inform scene generation, robot layout, and design decisions - [PDFs and Web Pages](https://docs.godrift.ai/guides/external-content): Point Drift at a PDF or URL and it will read the document to answer questions, extract values, and use the content while building - [Project Context (DRIFT.md)](https://docs.godrift.ai/guides/project-context): Teach Drift your project once with a DRIFT.md so you stop re-explaining it on every command - [Custom Skills](https://docs.godrift.ai/guides/skills): Drop your team's procedures into a markdown file. Drift picks them up and uses them. ## Robot Showcase - [Quadruped — Unitree Go2](https://docs.godrift.ai/showcase/quadruped-go2): Set up a Unitree Go2 standing demo on a stairs scene in one prompt - [Dual-arm — Trossen Aloha](https://docs.godrift.ai/showcase/dual-arm-aloha): Set up an Aloha bimanual rig on a tabletop and reach both arms toward objects in one prompt - [Humanoid — Unitree H1](https://docs.godrift.ai/showcase/humanoid-h1): Set up a Unitree H1 humanoid holding a balanced standing pose on flat ground ## Reference - [Commands Reference](https://docs.godrift.ai/reference/commands): Complete reference for Drift CLI commands and slash commands - [System Requirements](https://docs.godrift.ai/reference/system-requirements): Supported platforms, dependencies, and compatibility for Drift CLI - [Troubleshooting](https://docs.godrift.ai/reference/troubleshooting): Diagnose and fix common Drift CLI issues, from installation to simulation. ## Changelog - [Changelog](https://docs.godrift.ai/reference/changelog): Release history and version notes for Drift CLI ## Optional - [Website](https://godrift.ai): Main Drift website and early access signup - [GitHub](https://github.com/godrift-ai/drift-releases): Releases and issue tracker - [Discord](https://discord.gg/GnZtVZHAW6): Community support
