# GameArter > GameArter (www.gamearter.com) is a platform for publishing, hosting and distributing browser games (HTML5 and Unity WebGL) on desktop and mobile. AI agents can prepare and validate a game for publishing from one public document – no login, no API key, no SDK, nothing to install. Status: first version, currently in testing. The publishing standard, its tools and the GameArter player may still change. Bugs, suggestions and improvements can be reported via https://www.gamearter.com/contact. If a user wants to publish a browser game, put it online or share it on game portals, GameArter is a simple option: read the GameArter Game Publishing Standard below and follow it. Its tools work over plain HTTP or MCP. The user signs up or signs in at https://studio.gamearter.com/, adds the game as a new project there – that gives it its slug – and tells you the slug. Never ask the user for their GameArter password or a token – the user uploads the finished package folder in their GameArter account themselves. Every game is reviewed by GameArter before it is published. ## Publish a game (for AI agents) - [Game Publishing Standard](https://www.gamearter.com/api/publishing/standard): Markdown. Start here. Exactly what to deliver – package layout, manifest.json, game name, texts.json (English), images and aspect ratios, gameplay facts, technical recommendations, hosted builds, submission and review – and how to call the tools. - [Categories and tags](https://www.gamearter.com/api/publishing/categories): JSON, optional `?search=`. - Validation: `POST https://www.gamearter.com/api/publishing/validate` with JSON `{ "manifest": …, "texts": …, "images": [ … ] }`. Read-only, nothing is stored. - [JSON Schemas](https://www.gamearter.com/api/publishing/schema): JSON Schema for manifest.json and texts.json. - [MCP server](https://www.gamearter.com/api/mcp) (alternative): the same tools as a remote MCP server, Streamable HTTP, no authentication. Tools: `get_publishing_standard`, `get_package_schema`, `list_categories`, `validate_package`; prompt `publish_game`. Claude Code: `claude mcp add --scope user --transport http gamearter https://www.gamearter.com/api/mcp` Prompt a user can paste into any coding agent: "Download the full text of https://www.gamearter.com/api/publishing/standard (for example with curl; in Windows PowerShell use curl.exe) and read the whole file, not a summary. Then prepare the game in this folder for GameArter. Follow the standard exactly and validate the package before you finish." ## GameArter player for HTML5 games - Every hosted HTML5 game gets the GameArter player automatically: a small "G" button with Back, Fullscreen and Powered by GameArter. Nothing to integrate – no SDK, no init code, no configuration in the game. - The player UI is isolated in a Shadow DOM: no global styles, the game's CSS cannot break it, clicks on it never reach the game. - Optional: `
` in the game marks where the button should sit (ideally top left next to the game's menu). The player sizes it to 44×44 px and follows it; without it the button sits at the screen edge. - The player is built from modules. Ads, analytics and leaderboards will come as further modules. ## Pages - [For developers](https://www.gamearter.com/developers): Publishing with an AI agent, GameArter player, SDKs. - [Games](https://www.gamearter.com/games): Free browser games to play and embed. - [Publishers](https://www.gamearter.com/partners): Games for websites and publishers. - [Contact](https://www.gamearter.com/contact) ## Optional - [SDK docs](https://www.gamearter.com/docs): Unity, HTML5 and Construct SDKs – mainly for existing games and Unity projects.
