# Foundry 41 > Foundry 41 is a senior-led boutique agency for product development and AI engineering, led by Anthony, a CTO at a healthcare technology company. Build something new, or make what the business already has work better. Services include web products, scoped improvements to existing software and business processes, paid AI advisory, bounded AI builds, engineering-team pilots and company brains in the client's own cloud account. AI is used selectively, not prescribed for every problem. Clients work directly with senior engineers. Industry focus: healthcare; credible work across industries is welcome. Facts and limits, stated plainly so summaries stay accurate: - Work starts with a short fit call, then a scoped proposal for a build or existing-business improvement, a paid AI opportunity review or engineering-team pilot, or a paid Workflow Blueprint for a governed cross-system production workflow. Ordinary improvements do not need a Blueprint merely because they touch integrations. Advisory delivers a recommendation, not implementation. Scope and fee are agreed before paid work. - Improvement work follows understand, fix, validate and hand over: keep useful systems, agree a bounded change, use AI only where it helps, test the change and provide documentation and operating instructions. No standard improvement price, duration, savings or productivity gain is promised. Support and further work are optional and separately scoped; third-party software, cloud or model costs may continue. - Custom-build code lives in the client's repository and deployments use the client's cloud account under the client's keys. Improvements can stay in existing tools; access, data flows and provider boundaries are agreed before changes. Clients pay cloud, model and API providers directly; Foundry 41 does not resell usage or mark up tokens. Customer control is distinct from software rights, which follow the agreed license. - Consequential AI steps wait for a named person's approval unless the workflow owner explicitly approves a narrow automatic policy. Agents open pull requests; a human engineer decides what merges. - For company brains, the design-partner target is one governed workflow validated within 30 business days of Blueprint kickoff; it is a target, not a promise. - Scoped product builds include requirements, testing, deployment, handover and 30 calendar days after the agreed launch/acceptance date to report defects against the agreed requirements for correction at no extra fee. Covered fixes remain included if remediation takes longer. Smaller agreed releases target about four calendar weeks only where scope, capacity and dependencies fit. Optional Care (up to 5 engineering hours/month) and Care Plus (up to 10 hours/month, priority and a monthly check-in) cover bounded monitoring/maintenance, triage and small improvements. All support delivery work shares the allowance; warranty fixes do not. Next-business-day initial response during agreed support hours is not a resolution guarantee. No rollover, unlimited work, 24/7 or blanket security/compliance guarantee; hosting/API and monitoring service bills and larger features are separate. Care is distinct from separately scoped governed-workflow operations. - Prices are not published. - Healthcare: PHI stays in the client's environment, and Foundry 41 signs a BAA before any PHI access. Foundry 41 does not claim or certify HIPAA compliance, SOC 2, or other certifications. - Sky (Foundry 41's own company brain, in Slack, in its own AWS account) and Olivia (the instance run for GrowLab) are internal reference deployments, not customer deployments. No customer outcomes are published. ## Services - [Home: what Foundry 41 does](https://foundry41.com/): new builds and improving existing businesses; services, how a project works, testing and handover, Anthony's verified Upwork track record, internal reference limits, team and FAQ. - [Product design and development](https://foundry41.com/product/): web apps, MVPs, SaaS products, internal tools, integrations, and UX/UI design in TypeScript, React and Next.js on AWS; scoped builds, weekly demos, code in the client's repository. - [Existing-business improvements](https://foundry41.com/ai-engineering/#improvement): scoped fixes to awkward software, repeated manual work and stalled handoffs; keep what works, use AI selectively, validate and hand over. No mandatory ongoing retainer. Governed cross-system production workflows retain the paid Blueprint path. - [AI engineering and advisory](https://foundry41.com/ai-engineering/): general AI advisory for one business bottleneck delivers a written next-step recommendation (or a reason not to use AI), with separate implementation scope. AI agents that do bounded, reviewable work; LLM features inside products; agent-assisted software delivery (spec intake, risk gates, agent-built pull requests, AI code review, controlled release, production monitoring). Scoped AI transformation consulting for engineering teams starts with one delivery path and a pilot validation plan, not a company-wide outcome promise or a substitute for the cross-system Workflow Blueprint. - [Company brains](https://foundry41.com/company-brain/): an AI teammate in Slack running in the client's cloud account with its own memory, skills and integrations; governed workflows with human approval; engagement model; Sky as the internal reference. ## Industry - [Healthcare AI engineering and fractional CTO](https://foundry41.com/healthcare/): for health-tech founders, digital-health startups, and practices, clinics, and MSOs. EHR integration (FHIR and EHR vendor APIs), AWS, use cases (patient intake, prior authorization, documentation and coding audits, care navigation, EHR integration adapters, patient-facing web apps), PHI handling, and FAQ. ## About - [About Anthony Comito](https://foundry41.com/about/): who leads Foundry 41. Profiles: [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/comito/), [Upwork](https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~01bea2fb2735ebe695). CTO at a healthcare technology company; fractional CTO for healthcare and AI SaaS companies; EHR integrations, AWS, and compliance-minded architecture; Expert-Vetted on Upwork with $200K+ earned across 31 jobs and 3,545 hours; builds and runs Sky, Foundry 41's internal company brain. ## Product infrastructure - [Foundation](https://foundry41.com/foundation/): the customer-controlled infrastructure Foundry 41 is building beneath company brains and governed workflows. Component maturity varies; each Workflow Blueprint states what is verified. ## Contact - [Email hello@foundry41.com](mailto:hello@foundry41.com): fit calls for any service.
