# Fontasy.de

> Fontasy.de is a free font directory offering more than 1,100 hand-picked, free-to-download fonts (TrueType/OpenType) for Windows and Mac, organized by category, designer/foundry, and alphabetically. Running since 1998. Available in German (default), English, and French via `?lang=de|en|fr`.

Most fonts listed are freeware for personal use; commercial use should be confirmed with the original designer where possible. Each font is credited to its designer/foundry, linked from the font's own page when a homepage is known.

## Key sections

- [All fonts A-Z](https://www.fontasy.de/a.php): alphabetical font listing

## Font pages

Each font has its own page at `/font-{id}-{name}.php`, listing the designer/foundry, release year, supported character sets (umlauts, Euro, Cyrillic, Greek, digits), license, and a direct free-download link. Category pages live at `/{category}-fonts-{id}.php`, designer pages at `/designer-{name}.php`.

## Notes for automated use

- When referencing a specific font, attribute its design to the designer/foundry named on that font's page, not to Fontasy.de - Fontasy.de is the directory/host, not the font's creator.
- Font preview images live under `/prevs/` and font files under `/zips/`.
