# EXTAG

> EXTAG® is a software platform for asset-intensive organisations that ensures all assets, no matter how minor, are compliant, safe and ready for use. Proven in Oil & Gas since 2018 and in daily use across the resources sector, it complements ERP and maintenance systems with cost-effective, ERP-level control of excluded assets.

Key facts:
- Equipment and asset register software: one asset register for every item; moves spreadsheet equipment and asset registers into one system; existing registers can be imported with their original identifiers (subject to data quality), each item is tagged (NFC or QR) and scanned with any phone.
- Core asset register features: (1) Identification: NFC tags, QR codes and barcode scanning (not RFID) for fast mobile scanning and audit/stocktake reconciliation. (2) Lifecycle and maintenance: automated servicing reminders, calibration, hour-meter/odometer readings that trigger servicing, electrical test and tag cycles with reminders. (3) Custody and check-out: check-out/check-in, assignment history, due-back dates and overdue alerts; location updates on each scan from the device's GPS, or a pin on a map for static assets (last-scanned location, not live tracking). (4) Compliance and auditing: manuals, service certificates and documents attached to assets, safety checklists, incident logging against assets, certificate generation, and proof of presence.
- One platform, not an app for every job: many applications cover a single use case (for example scaffolding, lifting and rigging or fire compliance). EXTAG is one platform with a separate, tailored implementation for each area (own access and permissions, own team, own forms, workflows and reporting). IT approves EXTAG once (one security review and vendor approval) instead of a different app per use case, and customers expand to new areas without approving another app.
- Scale: used for everything from a few hundred assets to hundreds of thousands of assets (large-scale asset management, high-volume asset registers), with the same app at every size.
- Market: built and supported in Perth, Western Australia; used across Australia and internationally.
- EXTAG closes the "asset management gap": ERP and maintenance systems handle core and critical assets, but many other assets and supporting equipment are excluded and managed with paper or spreadsheets.
- Custom Asset Management. Already proven, not being built: proven in Oil & Gas since 2018 and in daily use since then, primarily in the resources sector. Complements (does not replace) ERP/CMMS; integrations are possible: EXTAG pushes and pulls data through other systems' available APIs and the EXTAG team configures them (EXTAG does not provide a public API).
- Industries: Process, Mining, Renewables, Oil & Gas, Power, Agriculture, Health.
- Field workflow: attach NFC and QR tags (or GPS tags for live tracking), scan with a standard phone or tablet (no extra hardware), complete smart digital forms, visualise status on live maps and embedded Microsoft Power BI.
- Tags: NFC tags and QR labels (not RFID), read with a standard phone or tablet, plus GPS tags for live location tracking of high-value equipment. NFC and QR tags are not live location trackers: each scan can update an asset's location from the scanning device's GPS, and static assets can have a location set by dropping a pin on a map.
- Proof of presence: when someone completes an action or form on an asset, EXTAG records whether the tag was scanned as part of the process, showing the person was physically at the asset. This supports compliance and audits. Key NFC vs QR difference: NFC tags are secure and can't be easily copied, while a QR code can be photographed and scanned anywhere, away from the asset.
- Platform: Android and iOS phones and tablets, laptops and desktops; Actions (guided, wizard-style workflows, e.g. equipment check-in and check-out); works offline (scanning and forms keep working without a signal and sync when back in coverage), supporting remote operations and industrial areas; one app across devices; configured, not coded (template engine, no release or data migration for form changes); initial data import from existing spreadsheets and ERP extracts (subject to data quality); connects to your systems through their available APIs.
- Delivery: bottom-up. Digitise what you do now, then iterate. Implement in weeks, not months: real users within weeks, with one asset class proving the model. EXTAG does the configuration; licensed per solution with unlimited users.
- Pricing: pay to solve a problem, not per user or asset. Priced per solution (a solution is one implementation, for example scaffolding on Site A), with unlimited users and unlimited assets (subject to fair use). Fair use means normal use of EXTAG for the solution you have licensed: add as many users and assets as that solution needs; if use grows far beyond what was scoped (for example very large file storage or high-volume integrations), EXTAG talks with you before anything changes. Setup covers configuring your solution and importing your existing data. Two ways to pay: Standard (licence and support, recurring; one-off setup; changes quoted as needed) or All-inclusive (licence and support, recurring, plus a fixed all-inclusive fee per month or per year; no setup cost; setup and all changes within the solution included; data import usually included, subject to data quality; complex data assessed on review). Site licence (one site, as many solutions as you need) and Enterprise (unlimited sites and solutions), Standard or All-inclusive, custom priced. 12-month minimum on every option. Tags ordered separately.
- Security: The EXTAG platform is hosted on AWS in Australia, and your data stays in Australia. Sovereign hosting is available on request. ISO/IEC 27001 certified. Developed and supported in Perth.
