- When AI connections are enabled on a deployment, Remote MCP with OAuth lets a connected host retrieve saved diagrams and render supported source formats. Discover the tools advertised by that connection; website renderer support does not imply that every format is supported by remote tools.

- Discover the advertised engine enum before rendering or saving. Connections may advertise Mermaid, Graphviz, D2, Draw JSON and PlantUML; use only formats present in the connected tool schema. PlantUML sends source to the existing legacy renderer. Saving is explicit; updating preserves the saved engine and uses the current revision. Separate saved configuration requires the website. Previewing or converting a diagram does not save it or replace an open browser draft.
- Where advertised, validate_diagram checks the advertised source engines and convert_to_excalidraw converts supported Mermaid into editable Draw data. Unsupported diagrams are not presented as editable image fallbacks.
- Where advertised, get_generation_options lists current model credits and separate repair quota. generate_diagram and repair_diagram require write access, an owned project and explicit approval of the exact credits or one repair unit. They return unsaved, unvalidated source. They have no operation ID or idempotency guarantee: never automatically repeat an unconfirmed AI call. Rendering and saving remain separate operations.
- V-Edit converts supported Mermaid, PlantUML, GraphViz, and D2 code into editable Excalidraw elements. Coverage depends on the diagram type.

## Optional diagram workflows

- Local Draw infographic layouts and architecture icons can be edited without an AI call. Editable PowerPoint export supports a defined set of shapes, text, and connectors; unsupported elements are reported rather than silently flattened.
- Availability depends on the deployed version and enabled features. A local development implementation is not evidence of public rollout or host-directory approval.
