# Counterscope

> Real-time counterparty risk intelligence for UAE business.

Counterscope turns scattered UAE public records — court cases, judgments, regulatory actions, insolvency and bounced-cheque notices, and licence changes from official courts and registries (DIFC, ADGM, DFSA, free zones, and selected onshore courts) — into a single, explainable counterparty-risk signal with the evidence behind every grade. It is built for compliance, credit-risk, procurement and due-diligence teams screening UAE counterparties. The public site is bilingual: English (default) and Arabic (under /ar).

## What Counterscope is — and is not
- It is: a UAE-focused counterparty-risk screening tool over official court, regulatory and registry records — legal, credit-distress and identity signals with the source evidence attached to each.
- It is not: a sanctions, PEP or watchlist database, a credit bureau, or a substitute for your own due diligence. Absence of an event means "nothing found in covered sources," not a certified clean record.

They publish their judgments and orders openly, searchable by party and case number — so a judgment against a company is a concrete, verifiable risk signal you can confirm at source.

They publish their cases and decisions on adgm.com, so litigation involving an ADGM-registered company can be verified at source — separately from the DIFC and the onshore courts.

They confirm identity and licence status, not litigation.

It publishes a public register and formal notices — including strike-off and dissolution notices — so whether a DIFC company is still in good standing is a matter of public record, separate from the DIFC Courts.
