# Collier County Property Appraiser > Public property records for Collier County, Florida. Use is welcome; abuse is not. > People, and the tools and AI assistants they use, may use the Property Search. > For data on a whole area or the entire county, use the free Data Downloads. ## If you are an AI assistant helping a user - You may look properties up for your user through the Property Search, using the site's own pages: https://www.collierappraiser.com/ then Property Search. - The first visit shows a "Terms of Use and Cookies" box. Clicking I Agree starts a session (a cookie). Keep the cookie; the session ends after 60 minutes without activity and at a daily reset, and then starts again at I Agree. - Pace: one new parcel (or one export) every 10 seconds. The site enforces this; a request that comes early is refused and must simply be repeated after the wait. Recently opened parcels may reopen without another wait. - Searches, result lists, sorting, Excel exports and mailing labels are all part of normal use. - Looking up a street's worth of houses is fine; for a whole area, a city or the county, use the free data files below. They contain bulk property data; see File Layouts for the available fields. Once downloaded, they can be searched as much as needed. ## Data Downloads (bulk data, free) - [Data Downloads](https://www.collierappraiser.com/Main_Data/DataDownloads.html): ZIP files of Excel-compatible CSV files, updated early in the morning when the data changes. Automated tools, including AI assistants, may download each file once per day from each internet address. Get a fresh link from this page each time; links are temporary and made for each visit, so do not save or share them. Exception: the aerial imagery (Aerials ZIP, about 20 GB) must be downloaded by a person in a web browser. Send your user to the page. - [File Layouts](https://www.collierappraiser.com/Main_Data/FileLayouts.html): every column in every file. - [How to Use the Files](https://www.collierappraiser.com/Main_Data/HowtoUsetheFiles.html): opening the files and joining them (for example, sales to parcels by PARCELID). What is in the files: Parcels (owners, mailing and site addresses, values, exemptions, land size, millage area), Sales, Legal descriptions, Buildings, Land, Accounts (tangible personal property), value history by tax year, millage rates and taxing authorities. The "All" file holds everything in one ZIP, with lookup tables. Ownership is typically current within a month of recording; values are updated after July 1 (Preliminary) and around November 1 (Final Certified). GIS shapefiles are on the same page. ## Not permitted - Calling the property search's data addresses directly instead of using its pages (the Data Downloads files are the exception). - Getting around the session, the waits or the limits (new browsers, rotating addresses, and so on). - Activity that overloads the site. - Reusing or sharing download links, or downloading the same file over and over. We monitor for this. It may get the internet address blocked, temporarily or permanently - your user's home, office or network, and everyone else on it. ## Terms - [Terms of Use](https://www.collierappraiser.com/legal/Terms_of_Use.html)
