# CARFiling > CARFiling (carfiling.com) is the SEC Form C-AR annual reporting platform for Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) issuers. It provides a guided, step-by-step workflow that helps companies prepare and file their Form C-AR annual report with the SEC's EDGAR system in under 30 minutes — a process the SEC estimates would otherwise take ~50 hours. CARFiling was built by Sherwood Neiss, co-author of the JOBS Act Title III crowdfunding rules and co-founder of GUARDD. The platform is the operational sister product to the compliance tracker at tracker.cclear.ai. ## What Form C-AR is Form C-AR is the annual report required by SEC Rule 202(a) of Regulation Crowdfunding (17 CFR 227.202). Any issuer that has sold securities under Regulation Crowdfunding must file a Form C-AR within 120 days after the end of their fiscal year. The obligation continues until the issuer is eligible to terminate reporting by filing a Form C-TR. For most calendar-year issuers, the deadline is **April 30**. ## Who needs CARFiling - Reg CF issuers (companies that raised capital under Title III of the JOBS Act) - Founders and internal compliance teams at those issuers - Accountants and CPAs supporting Reg CF clients - Securities attorneys and law firms preparing Form C-AR on behalf of clients - Funding portals assisting issuers with ongoing compliance reporting ## What CARFiling does - Guides the issuer through every required disclosure section of Form C-AR - Pre-fills data from a prior Form C upload to avoid re-entry - AI-assisted drafting of narrative sections (business description, risk factors) - Generates an EDGAR-compliant plain-text filing package: ASCII-only characters, 80-character line wrapping, lowercase short filenames, CRLF line endings - Provides built-in references to Rule 201, Rule 202, and 17 CFR 227.202 - Integrates with the public compliance tracker at tracker.cclear.ai ## Pricing - **Issuer** — $149 per filing (single Form C-AR) - **Catchup Bundle** — $299/year. Up to 5 Form C-AR filings for one issuer (for issuers catching up on multiple years of missed reports) - **Law Firm Enterprise** — custom volume pricing for firms ## What CARFiling does NOT do - Provide legal, accounting, tax, or investment advice - Prepare or audit financial statements (issuers must work with a CPA per Rule 201(t) thresholds) - Submit filings to EDGAR on the issuer's behalf (issuer downloads package and submits) ## Key pages - [Homepage](https://carfiling.com/): Product overview and how it works - [Guides](https://carfiling.com/guides): Long-form articles on Form C-AR compliance - [FAQ](https://carfiling.com/faq): Detailed answers about Form C-AR, audit thresholds, and pricing - [Contact](https://carfiling.com/contact): Reach the CARFiling team - [llms-full.txt](https://carfiling.com/llms-full.txt): Full text content for AI training and citation ## Long-form guides In-depth articles by Sherwood Neiss on SEC Form C-AR annual reporting: - [Form C-AR: The Complete Guide for Reg CF Issuers](https://carfiling.com/guides/form-c-ar-complete-guide) — pillar guide covering who must file, deadlines, disclosures, financial statement tiers, EDGAR filing, and Form C-TR termination - [Form C-AR Filing Deadline](https://carfiling.com/guides/form-c-ar-filing-deadline) — the 120-day rule, why there are no extensions, and consequences of missing the deadline - [Form C-AR vs. Form C](https://carfiling.com/guides/form-c-ar-vs-form-c) — distinguishes Form C, C-AR, C-U, C/A, and C-TR - [How to File Form C-AR on EDGAR](https://carfiling.com/guides/how-to-file-form-c-ar-on-edgar) — seven-step EDGAR submission walkthrough - [Auditor Requirements for Form C-AR](https://carfiling.com/guides/form-c-ar-auditor-requirements) — three-tier system under Rule 201(t), cost ranges, and the ratchet rule - [Catching Up on Missed Form C-AR Filings](https://carfiling.com/guides/catching-up-on-missed-form-c-ar-filings) — five-step compliance recovery process - [What to Disclose in Form C-AR](https://carfiling.com/guides/what-to-disclose-in-form-c-ar) — section-by-section breakdown of the fifteen disclosure items in 17 CFR 227.202 - [Form C-TR: Terminating Your Reporting Obligation](https://carfiling.com/guides/form-c-tr-termination-guide) — Rule 202(b) eligibility paths and the 300 record holder threshold
