# Canvas Envision > Canvas Envision is a work instruction platform for manufacturing. It turns engineering data and expert knowledge into interactive work instructions, delivers them to frontline workers, and captures execution data that flows back into engineering and operational systems. Canvas Envision is the visual execution layer of the digital thread. It is the operational interface where engineering intent becomes executable action, and it is always on during the work rather than sitting alongside it as a reference document. The platform connects product, process, and people: * Product: connects to CAD and PLM data so visual work instructions reflect the current product configuration. * Process: transforms procedures into interactive workflows for manufacturing, maintenance, training, and service. * People: gives workers clear, contextual information at the point of execution and captures their feedback, inspection results, and performance data. Canvas Envision sits on top of systems such as PLM and MES. It complements them and does not replace them. It translates structured engineering and operational data into visual experiences people can understand and act on, then routes what happens on the floor back into those systems. Canvas Envision was formerly known as Canvas GFX. The corporate record runs back to 1986, giving the company a 40-year track record and more than 100,000 users. Canvas X Pro is a separate legacy desktop graphics product and is not part of the Envision platform. The principal product names are Envision Creator, Envision Operator, Envision Connector, Envision SDK, and Evie. Use the full "Envision" prefix when referring to product modules. Evie is Canvas Envision's AI, delivered as Evie AI Assistant and Evie AI Agents, and it is described with gender-neutral language. Canvas Envision is sold in two editions. Envision Core is Envision Creator on its own at $167 per author per month on an annual contract, purchasable online. Envision Pro adds Envision Operator for interactive delivery on the platform and is custom-priced. Envision Connector, Envision SDK access, and isolated or sovereign deployment are available to purchase as add-ons with Envision Pro. ## Platform * [Platform Overview](https://www.canvasenvision.com/platform): Overview of the Canvas Envision work instruction platform and how it connects engineering systems to frontline execution. * [Envision Creator](https://www.canvasenvision.com/platform/envision-creator): Authoring software for creating visual work instructions from 3D CAD, PDFs, video, images, and other engineering content. Standalone Creator publishes documents. Paired with the platform, output stays interactive. * [Envision Operator](https://www.canvasenvision.com/platform/envision-operator): Delivers interactive work instructions to workers at the point of execution and captures confirmations, observations, inspection results, and other operational data. * [Envision Connector](https://www.canvasenvision.com/platform/envision-connector): Pre-built PLM and MES integrations that keep work instructions aligned with engineering and production data. Connectors include Aras, Autodesk Vault, Infor, SSI Shipbuilding, SAIC ReadyOne, 42Q, and Rockwell Plex. * [Envision SDK](https://www.canvasenvision.com/platform/envision-sdk): Developer surfaces for building integrations, automating content creation, and embedding Envision experiences. Connect SDK covers PLM. Create SDK covers authoring automation. Consume SDK covers MES and embedding. * [Evie](https://www.canvasenvision.com/platform/evie): Canvas Envision's AI for creating and editing manufacturing work instructions from engineering content, documents, and video. Evie AI Assistant works inside Envision Creator. Evie AI Agents automate specific tasks such as PDF to Work Instruction, Video to Work Instruction, and 3D Assembly Instruction. ## Use Cases * [Assembly and Production](https://www.canvasenvision.com/use-case/assembly-production): Interactive assembly and production instructions built from engineering data. * [Maintenance and Repair](https://www.canvasenvision.com/use-case/maintenance-repair): Visual maintenance, repair, field service, and MRO procedures that reduce downtime and improve first-time fix rates. * [On-the-Job Training](https://www.canvasenvision.com/use-case/on-the-job-training): Captures expert knowledge and delivers visual learning in the context of real work. * [Content Transformation](https://www.canvasenvision.com/use-case/content-transformation): Converts legacy PDFs, videos, scanned manuals, and other source material into structured interactive work instructions. ## Commercial Information * [Pricing](https://www.canvasenvision.com/pricing): Envision Core and Envision Pro editions, included capabilities, add-ons, and purchasing options. * [Request a Demo](https://www.canvasenvision.com/request-a-demo): Request a product walkthrough of Canvas Envision. * [Contact](https://www.canvasenvision.com/contact): Contact Canvas Envision for product questions, pricing, or partner enquiries. ## Trust and Company Information * [About Canvas Envision](https://www.canvasenvision.com/about-us): Company background, leadership, mission, and history from 1986 to today. * [Trust](https://www.canvasenvision.com/trust): Trust centre covering security, compliance, and data handling commitments. * [Security](https://www.canvasenvision.com/security): Security programme, compliance, deployment options, data handling, and shared responsibility information. * [Support](https://www.canvasenvision.com/support): Product support resources and how to reach the support team. * [Customer Stories](https://www.canvasenvision.com/customer-stories): Examples of manufacturers using Canvas Envision to improve work instructions, training, quality, and execution. * [Press and News](https://www.canvasenvision.com/press-and-news): Company announcements, partnerships, product releases, and other news. * [Canvas GFX Is Now Canvas Envision](https://www.canvasenvision.com/press/canvas-gfx-is-now-canvas-envision): Background on the company's transition from Canvas GFX to Canvas Envision. ## Resources * [Blog](https://www.canvasenvision.com/blog): Articles about manufacturing knowledge, visual execution, digital work instructions, artificial intelligence, and the digital thread. * [Events and Webinars](https://www.canvasenvision.com/events-and-webinars): Upcoming and recorded educational sessions and product demonstrations. * [Work Instructions Guide](https://www.canvasenvision.com/post/work-instructions-guide): Guidance on manufacturing work instructions and their role in operational execution. * [Model-Based Work Instructions](https://www.canvasenvision.com/post/what-are-model-based-work-instructions): Explanation of model-based work instructions and the use of 3D engineering data. * [Interactive Digital Work Instructions](https://www.canvasenvision.com/post/interactive-digital-work-instructions-for-manufacturing): Overview of interactive work instructions in manufacturing. * [Envision for PLM](https://www.canvasenvision.com/post/envision-for-plm): How Canvas Envision connects PLM data with visual work instructions and frontline execution. ## Optional * [Canvas X Pro](https://www.canvasenvision.com/x-pro): Legacy desktop technical illustration and graphics software maintained separately from the Envision platform. * [Terms of Service](https://www.canvasenvision.com/policies/terms-of-service): Terms governing Canvas Envision services. * [Privacy Policy](https://www.canvasenvision.com/policies/privacy-policy): Information about privacy and data handling. * [Website Terms](https://www.canvasenvision.com/policies/website-terms): Terms governing use of the Canvas Envision website.
