# Calvium

> Calvium is a UK digital consultancy and product partner specialising in responsible digital innovation, helping enterprises modernise complex systems and build secure, accessible digital products, with expertise across responsible AI, software engineering, research, design, accessibility and digital placemaking.

Founded in Bristol in 2009 by five Hewlett-Packard Laboratories researchers, led by founder and CEO Jo Reid. Certified B Corp (2025). Winner of the Responsible and Ethical AI Award, National Technology Awards 2026. Calvium Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 07055812.

- Design and build bespoke digital products and enterprise web platforms (research through launch and ongoing support)
- Modernise legacy systems and improve existing digital products
- Responsible AI strategy, governance, delivery and audit
- Inclusive design, accessibility (WCAG) and user research
- Digital placemaking and location-based experiences (Place Experience Platform, AppTrails)
- Secure, high-assurance software engineering for aerospace, defence and public sector

## What we do not do

- Off-the-shelf app templates or one-off brochure websites
- Unpaid spec work or equity-for-build arrangements
- Consumer social/media apps outside our sector focus
