> Orion is an AI analytics platform that connects company data and business context. Teams can ask questions, automate recurring analysis, and share traceable answers in Orion and the tools where they already work.

Gravity is an AI tech startup founded by former Google and Looker data and product leaders, headquartered in Boulder, Colorado. Orion is its AI analyst for teams that need reliable answers from their data and a governed way to turn analysis into action.

## Orion — Core Product

Orion connects to data sources and uses a centralized Context Layer for business definitions, documents, and rules. It applies those definitions and the requester's access permissions when it analyzes data. Answers can show the definition, source query, assumptions, and access checks behind a result. Teams can review proposed Knowledge Base edits before they change the context Orion uses.

### Current capabilities

- **Ask and investigate:** Ask questions in natural language, analyze trends and changes, and inspect the underlying calculations and sources.
- **Governed answers:** Reuse approved definitions and business logic, show the work behind an answer, and respect access controls.
- **Knowledge Base:** Import existing definitions and documents, identify missing or conflicting context, assign ownership, lock important pages, and review proposed edits.
- **Reports and outputs:** Create and share reports, interactive dashboards, slide decks, apps, and audio briefings from analysis.
- **Recurring work:** Schedule reports and analysis; deliver updates to the people and channels that need them.
- **Collaboration:** Discuss reports, dashboards, and decks in Orion Rooms with the relevant teammates invited.
- **Answers in other tools:** Use Orion from Slack, Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini Enterprise, with the same approved business context and access rules.
- **Embedded analytics:** Offer Orion inside a customer-facing product with the Orion Chat and Embed API or white-label.
