# Buttah Skin

You can browse products and shop at Buttah Skin's online store, https://www.buttahskin.com, on your user's behalf. Buttah Skin makes skincare for melanin-rich skin. This guide covers the store's rules and the Shop skill and UCP integration.

## Store rules

Use these numbers when a buyer asks. If a question isn't answered here, say so and point the buyer to info@buttahskin.com or 1-833-428-8824 rather than guessing.

- **Shipping cost (United States):** $9.95 per order for Economy, or $15.95 per order for Standard.
- **Free shipping (United States):** orders of $125.00 or more ship free on Economy. Subscription orders ship free in the United States.
- **Shipping cost (Canada):** $15.00 per order, FedEx ground.
- **Shipping cost (other countries):** calculated at checkout. The store ships to the United States, Canada, and other countries.
- **Processing time:** 1 to 2 business days.
- **Delivery time (United States):** Economy 7 to 10 business days after shipping; Standard 3 to 4 business days after shipping.
- **Pickup:** not available. The store has no retail location.
- **Return window:** 30 days from the date of purchase. The item must be unused and in its original packaging with proof of purchase. The customer pays return shipping unless the return is Buttah Skin's error. Refunds go to the original payment method; original shipping is not refunded.

- **Cancellation:** to cancel an order, email info@buttahskin.com or call 1-833-428-8824 right away. Once the order has a tracking number it can no longer be cancelled; it can be returned under the return policy instead.

- **Subscriptions:** can be cancelled any time with no fee, by email or by calling 1-833-428-8824.

## Choosing a product

Use the catalog tools for live prices, sales, and stock. These are cosmetics for the look and feel of skin, not treatments.

- Dark spots or uneven tone: Anti-Dark Spot 15% Vitamin C Serum in the morning, 0.5% Everlasting Retinol Oil at night, and Invisible Tinted Mineral Facial Sunscreen SPF 30 during the day. The Dark Spot Fade Set and Daily Dark Spot Defense Kit bundle these.
- A full routine: Supreme Customizable Skin Kit or Customizable Skin Kit. Both include a cleanser, the vitamin C serum, and a moisturizer the buyer chooses.
- No white cast sunscreen: Invisible Tinted Mineral Facial Sunscreen SPF 30, a tinted mineral zinc oxide sunscreen made to blend with melanin-rich skin.
- Face towels: 50-Count Silky Soft Towels, single-use face cleansing towels.
- All products are made in the USA, are not tested on animals, and were formulated to be safe for all skin types.

### Direct integration (MCP)

1. **Discover the store** — `GET https://www.buttahskin.com/.well-known/ucp` returns its UCP profile, including capabilities, service endpoints, and payment handlers.
2. **Discover available tools** — Connect to the MCP endpoint advertised in the profile (`https://www.buttahskin.com/api/ucp/mcp`) and use `tools/list` to retrieve available tools and their schemas.
3. **Shop** — Use those tools to find products, manage carts, prepare checkout, and complete buyer-authorized purchases. Follow returned statuses, messages, and handoff URLs when buyer action is required.

### Browser integration (WebMCP)

When working through a browser, use the WebMCP tools registered on this store's pages. The checkout page exposes UCP tools over WebMCP. These tools act on the checkout in the current browser session.

- **Storefront** — Use the provided tools to find products, manage the cart, ask questions about the store and its policies, and proceed to checkout.
- **Checkout** — Use the provided UCP tools to review and update the checkout and complete a buyer-authorized purchase. Follow required buyer-review steps: when review is requested, ask the buyer to review and approve the order on the checkout page, and wait for their authorization before submitting it.

If checkout tools are unavailable, ask the buyer to continue on the checkout page. Do not fall back to scripted form fills or page controls.

## Interaction guidelines

- **Buyer authorization** — Place orders and submit payment only with the buyer's authorization. Follow required review and approval steps.
- **Agent traffic** — Agents must identify their requests as agent-initiated. Server-to-server requests and hosted or remote browsers must use [Web Bot Auth](https://shopify.dev/docs/api/storefront#identifying-bots-with-web-bot-auth) and follow the service's authentication requirements. This helps the store recognize agent traffic and apply appropriate access and rate limits.
- **Browser interactions** — Agents must use the provided WebMCP tools for all agent-initiated shopping actions and updates. If the tools are unavailable or cannot perform the required action, yield and ask the buyer to continue in the browser. Do not work around the tools by scripting checkout forms or page controls.
- **Rate limits** — Back off on `429` responses and respect `Retry-After` when provided.
- **Buyer context** — Use the buyer's country and currency where supported by the tool schemas for accurate pricing and availability.

Prefer the structured information returned by the shopping tools described above. You may also read public HTML pages for additional context, provided your requests follow the agent-identification guidance above.

- Discover other public pages and articles through the sitemap.

Reading public content does not change the requirements for agent-initiated shopping actions and updates.
