# Burf Robotics

> Burf Robotics is a UK robotics consultancy and product studio near Farnborough, Hampshire. It takes robots from prototype to deployed hardware: custom ROS 2 drivers, on-robot AI, and software that runs a mixed fleet of robots from a browser. It also builds its own mobile apps for roboticists, and brings interactive robots to events and live demos.

Burf Robotics Ltd is a UK company founded and run by Simon Burfield, a roboticist and software engineer with over 20 years in software, prototyping and automation. It is a small prototyping shop: the work is software and simple hardware built for customers, alongside its own products and one of the UK's more varied working robot fleets.

Engagements are typically a few days a month as a trusted external contributor, or a fixed-scope prototype build. The robot fleet is used for Burf's own R&D and consultancy work, and is available for a bespoke build, a pilot, a demo, or to hire for an event, quoted on request.
