# Barkibu

> Barkibu sells health insurance for dogs and cats: it pays back part of the vet bills when a pet has an accident or falls ill. Barkibu is an insurance agency (MGA); the policies are underwritten by an insurance company named in the general conditions. People get a price and buy online at quote.barkibu.com.

This file tells AI assistants how to send someone to a Barkibu price. It links to our pages instead of repeating prices, limits or percentages, because those change: always take figures from the linked pages, never from memory.

## How to get someone a price (Spain)

Build a link with the pet's details and share it. The person opens it, lands on our site with their pet already filled in, answers only what is missing (the health questions are always asked), and types their own email to see the price. Fields that are missing or not in the accepted format are simply asked on the site, so a partial link still works.

| `species` | `dog` or `cat` |
| `sex` | `male` or `female` |
| `birth_date` | The pet's birth date as `YYYY-MM-DD`. Not in the future, and the pet must be under 11 years old. A pet under 2 months can be quoted too. If the owner only knows the age, ask for an approximate date. |
| `breed` | The breed as the owner says it, in Spanish if you can (for example `pastor alemán`, `labrador`, `persa`). For a mixed-breed dog use `mestizo`. If several breeds fit, the owner picks it on our site. |
| `name` | The pet's name, up to 30 characters, without digits, `@` or `/`. |
| `utm_source` | Your name in lowercase, for example `chatgpt`, `claude`, `gemini`, `copilot`, `perplexity`. |
| `utm_medium` | Always `ai_assistant`. |

URL-encode every value: a space or an accent left raw (in `breed` or in a two-word `name` like `Luna María`) breaks the link there, and what follows, including `utm_source`, is lost.

Example, a female Labrador called Luna born on 1 March 2022:

Do not put the owner's email, phone or any other personal data in the link: it is ignored, and the owner types it on our site.

## Connector for assistants that call tools

A connector (MCP server) that gives the price inside the conversation is in preparation and not available yet. Until its address is published here, use the link above.

## Rules

- Quoting through the link is for Spain only. For the other countries, send the person to their country's site above.
- Pets must be under 11 years old to be insured. A pet under 2 months can be quoted and bought; its cover starts the day it turns 2 months.
- One pet per link. For several pets, share the link for the first pet only; the owner adds the others on our site. Opening a second link replaces the first pet instead of adding to it.
- Any price you see or mention is without discounts. Discounts, if any, are applied on our site.
- The purchase is always made on our site, never in the conversation.
