# Autosheet

> Autosheet is an AI agent for Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, built by Talarian. It works from a chat panel inside the spreadsheet and edits the file directly, from formulas, formatting and charts to cleaning, translating or enriching data row by row at up to 1,000 rows per minute. The same agent works in Google Sheets from ChatGPT, Claude and other AI clients through the Autosheet MCP server and API. - GPT for Excel – Autosheet: a Microsoft 365 add-in for Excel on Windows, Mac and the web.
- GPT for Sheets – Autosheet: a Google Workspace add-on for Google Sheets.
- Autosheet MCP server and API: the agent behind GPT for Sheets – Autosheet, for AI clients, agents, workflows and code, with no add-on to install. Google Sheets only.
- GPT for Excel – Autosheet on Microsoft Marketplace and GPT for Sheets – Autosheet on the Google Workspace Marketplace are the store listings. They also include GPT for Word and GPT for Docs, AI writing assistants for documents.

What the agent does:

- Spreadsheet work from a chat prompt: write, fix, and explain formulas; clean and standardize messy data; split, merge, and reorganize columns and rows; remove duplicates and validate values; apply formatting and conditional formatting; create insights and reports; build pivot tables and charts.
- Bulk AI processing, row by row from one prompt: content generation and rewriting; translation and localization; categorization, tagging, and classification; extraction from unstructured text; data enrichment and web research; image analysis; fuzzy matching and deduplication. Up to 1,000 rows per minute, and up to 200,000 rows per run in Google Sheets or 1 million in Excel.
- GPT functions such as =GPT() prompt AI from inside cells, in both add-ons.
- Models from OpenAI, Anthropic and other providers. Business and Enterprise spaces can also connect their own AI provider keys or endpoints.

Autosheet MCP and API, for AI clients and code:

- Give Autosheet an instruction and a Google Sheet URL or spreadsheet ID. It explores the spreadsheet, plans the work, edits the live sheet, checks its results and corrects mistakes. It reads only the data it needs and edits through the Google Sheets API, so it handles large spreadsheets.
- MCP: connect to the hosted server at https://mcp.autosheet.com/mcp over streamable HTTP with OAuth; Google sign-in completes in the browser. ChatGPT users can add Autosheet from https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6aa196d5c8488191a3de00c74c9534ac, and Claude users can connect from the connector directory at https://claude.ai/directory/autosheet.
- API (in preview): the base URL is https://api.autosheet.com. Send an Autosheet API key in the X-API-Key header, start an agent with a prompt and a Google Sheet URL or spreadsheet ID, then poll the agent until it is idle or pass a webhook URL. Create API keys in the dashboard at https://dashboard.autosheet.com. A key carries the user's Google Sheets authorization, so treat it as a secret.
- Autosheet applies changes to the live spreadsheet by default. For high-impact work, ask it for a plan or a small sample first. A safe first prompt: "Summarize this spreadsheet and flag anything that looks off: <your sheet URL>".
- Long-running work continues on the server: check the existing agent's status instead of repeating the instruction, which can start a second agent on the same spreadsheet.
- Usage is billed to the same Autosheet account and subscription as the add-ons.

- Free to install, with free starting credits and no card required for first use.
- Standard: $25/month. Individual plan. $25 of usage included. Buy extra usage as needed.
- Business: $45/seat/month. Team plan. $25 of usage included per seat. Buy shared extra usage as needed.
- Enterprise: Custom pricing. Organization plan.

Security and privacy: Talarian is ISO 27001 certified, complies with GDPR and does not use inputs or outputs to train language models.
