# AppDrift > AppDrift is an app store optimization (ASO) platform that helps independent app developers and small studios track App Store and Google Play keywords, create editable store screenshots, and generate and localize listing copy with AI in one browser workspace. The Free plan covers 1 app, 5 daily-tracked keywords and 50 one-time AI tokens with no card; paid plans start at $14.99/month (Basic). Key facts (last reviewed October 20, 2026; prices in USD; https://appdrift.co/pricing is authoritative): - Stores: Apple App Store and Google Play. AppDrift runs in the browser; the screenshot editor needs a desktop or laptop. - What it does: daily keyword rank tracking with computed difficulty and popularity scores; a free screenshot editor with Free and Pro template collections and an AI screenshot campaign generator; AI listing generation and translation into 60+ languages (73 languages across 112 App Store and Google Play locales); listing updates with optional client approval; sending reviewed listing text to connected App Store Connect and Google Play accounts; store-monitoring alerts; AI review-reply drafts; competitor listing comparisons; a weekly ASO Action Plan; a REST API and an MCP server. - What it does not do: upload app binaries, submit apps for review or approve releases; estimate other apps' downloads or revenue; manage Apple Ads bids; run randomized conversion A/B tests (its metadata comparisons track keyword ranks across successive periods; Apple and Google native experiments stay in their consoles); offer team seats (one workspace per account); guarantee rankings, downloads or revenue. - Data limits: difficulty and popularity are computed from the live top search results, not search volume from Apple or Google. Google Play search exposes only about the top 30 results, so deeper Android ranks show as "outside top 30". - Drafts first: AI output is an editable draft. Saving or approving does not publish; sending to a store is a separate, explicit action that needs a paid plan and connected store credentials. - Plans: Free $0 (1 app, 5 tracked keywords with daily updates, 50 AI tokens once on signup, unlimited watermark-free exports with free templates; saving or exporting a screenshot design needs a free account). Basic $14.99/month or $149.90/year (5 apps, 50 keywords, 3 competitors per app, 500 AI tokens per monthly payment; starts paid, no trial). Indie $29/month or $290/year (10 apps, 2,500 keywords, 10 competitors per app, 3,000 AI tokens per monthly payment, Pro screenshot collections; optional 7-day trial). Studio $59/month or $590/year (50 apps, 10,000 keywords, 25 competitors per app, 8,000 tokens; paid from day one with no free trial). Pro is no longer sold; existing subscribers keep their plan. Basic is sold again since October 20, 2026; subscribers who bought it at $9.99 keep that price. While the Founding 100 offer is live, accounts that never paid for a subscription can buy Indie $9.99 or Studio $19.99 a month ($99.50/$199.50 a year) for as long as they stay subscribed. Existing Basic subscriptions keep their price and limits. Enterprise by agreement. Annual plans deliver 12 monthly allowances upfront; unused tokens roll over and do not expire. Token packs: 100 for $1.99, 500 for $4.99, 2,000 for $14.99; packs do not unlock paid features. - Trial, cancellation and refunds: Indie offers an optional 7-day first-subscription trial that requires a card and tops an eligible token balance up to 50 once; the full allowance arrives after payment. Basic and Studio have no free trial. Existing trials keep their original end date and access. Paid plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee after the first charge (email support@appdrift.co). Cancelling keeps paid access until the end of the billing period, then the account moves to Free. - Token costs: listing generation 7 tokens per App Store language or 8 per Google Play language; translation 1 token per short field per language (3 for the App Store description, 5 for the Google Play full description); AI screenshot campaign 5 tokens; screenshot caption translation 1 token per target language; keyword optimization 3; AI review-reply draft 1; new metadata A/B comparison 10; on-demand same-day rank refresh 1. Manual screenshot editing, exports and daily rank updates cost nothing. - Scale (counted September 23, 2026; signups are not paying customers): 4,500+ developers have signed up (4,571 accounts), 1,800+ apps added (1,854), 13,000+ screenshot images exported (13,172, including repeat exports) and 50,000+ keyword rank checks (50,085). Listings can be published to 150+ App Store and Google Play countries; the rank-tracking menu lists 60+ storefronts. - Company: AppDrift LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, founded in 2025 by Emre Bayrak, who builds and runs it. ## Product - [Platform overview](https://appdrift.co/platform): Every workflow (research and tracking, creating and localizing, comparing metadata, preparing and sending updates, monitoring) with its plan and token requirements. - [Keyword rank tracking](https://appdrift.co/keyword-tracking): Daily App Store and Google Play ranks for the keywords and storefronts you choose; 5 keywords free, 50 on Basic, 2,500 on Indie and 10,000 on Studio. Each tracked competitor is ranked beside you daily on every plan (1 per app on Free, 10 on Indie, 25 on Studio); rank history is never trimmed and downloads as CSV. A connected iOS app also shows Apple's own store funnel — search and browse impressions, page views and downloads by country (7 days and the top 3 countries free; 28 or 90 days and every country on paid plans). Apple's API has no per-keyword search-term report, so AppDrift does not show one. - [Screenshot generator](https://appdrift.co/screenshot-generator): Free editor for App Store and Google Play screenshots with device frames, iPhone 3D and 2D modes and multi-size export, without watermarks. Paid plans can upload to App Store Connect drafts; Google Play artwork is exported and uploaded manually. - [AI screenshot generator](https://appdrift.co/ai-screenshot-generator): Turns an app brief plus 3-8 real app screens into an editable campaign with AI captions and story order for 5 tokens; uploaded screen images are not sent to the AI model. - [Ari by AppDrift](https://appdrift.co/ai-aso-assistant): An AI ASO assistant included with paid Basic, Indie and Studio (and existing Pro plans). It answers AppDrift and app-store questions using published product facts and saved workspace data, opens app setup, and prepares runs of the metadata generator that start only after you approve the quoted token cost, then hands off to the matching tool. Indie includes 300 messages/month (40/day) and Studio 750 (75/day), shared across the workspace. Calendar-month UTC resets, no rollover. Free, unpaid trials and token packs do not unlock Ari; AI workflows have separate token costs. - [Screenshot templates](https://appdrift.co/templates): Preview complete Free and Pro template collections without signing up. - [AI listing generation](https://appdrift.co/metadata-generation): Drafts App Store fields (name, subtitle, keywords, description, promotional text, release notes) and Google Play fields (title, short and full description, release notes) from your app brief. - [Listing translation](https://appdrift.co/metadata-translation): Editable translations for 60+ languages with per-market store-autocomplete keyword research and field-length checks. - [Listing updates](https://appdrift.co/listing-updates): Prepare text, translations and screenshot captions for a release; paid plans add approved-wording reuse, batch screenshot refresh, private client review links and store report imports. - [Store publishing](https://appdrift.co/store-publishing): Send reviewed listing text to App Store Connect (API key) or Google Play (service account) on paid plans; binaries and store review stay in the store consoles. - [Store monitoring](https://appdrift.co/store-monitoring): Rules for listing, screenshot, rating, keyword-rank, review and availability changes, checked on a schedule of roughly every four hours; alerts in-app or by email, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams or webhook. Paid plans. - [Competitor analysis](https://appdrift.co/competitor-analysis): Compare public competitor listings, ratings and screenshots; 1 competitor per app on Free, 10 on Indie and 25 on Studio, each ranked daily for your tracked keywords on every plan. - [Review management](https://appdrift.co/review-management): Read App Store and Google Play reviews and draft replies with AI (1 token per draft) before sending. Paid plans. - [Weekly Action Plan](https://appdrift.co/aso-autopilot): Prioritized ASO tasks from your ranks, reviews and competitor observations, with keyword optimization drafts for 3 tokens. The first action is free. - [Metadata A/B comparisons](https://appdrift.co/ab-testing): Compare tracked keyword ranks across successive metadata periods that you apply yourself; observational, not a randomized conversion test. Paid plans; 10 tokens per comparison. - [ASO and localization services](https://appdrift.co/services): Founder-delivered fixed-price packages: Launch $490 (10 locales) and Global $1,990 (40 locales). ## Pricing and answers - [Pricing and plans](https://appdrift.co/pricing): Free, Indie, Studio and Enterprise with apps, keywords, tokens, trial terms, token packs and the refund policy. - [Frequently asked questions](https://appdrift.co/faq): Plans, tokens, stores, translation, keyword tracking, screenshots and publishing in one place. ## Free tools - [All 24 free ASO tools](https://appdrift.co/tools): Keyword, title, description, screenshot, icon and listing checks for the App Store and Google Play; public checkers need no account and have request limits. - [Keyword difficulty checker](https://appdrift.co/tools/keyword-difficulty): 0-100 difficulty from the live top 10 (review strength 40%, rating 20%, title match 20%, publisher diversity 20%) in 60+ storefronts; bands: under 30 Easy, 30-59 Moderate, 60-79 Competitive, 80+ Very hard. - [App rank checker](https://appdrift.co/tools/rank-checker): Where an app appears for a keyword in live App Store (about the top 200) or Google Play (about the top 30) results, in 60+ storefronts. - [Keyword generator](https://appdrift.co/tools/keyword-suggestion): Real App Store and Google Play autocomplete for a keyword (and the keyword plus each letter a-z) in 60+ storefronts, with one-click live difficulty; no search-volume figures, because the stores publish none. - [Competitor keyword finder](https://appdrift.co/tools/competitor-keywords): Tests up to 12 likely keywords for any app, taken from its listing, similar apps' titles and store autocomplete, against live search and shows where it ranks; a tested sample, not every keyword it ranks for. - [ASO score checker](https://appdrift.co/aso-score): 0-100 listing score with A+ to D grades and field-by-field tips for a published app; iOS subtitle and keyword fields are not public and are excluded. - [Compare ASO](https://appdrift.co/compare-aso): Two apps' listing scores side by side. - [App name checker](https://appdrift.co/tools/app-name-checker): Exact and similar name matches in live store search in 60+ storefronts; not a trademark search. - [Category rank checker](https://appdrift.co/tools/category-rank-checker): An app's position in its category and the overall top charts (Top Free or Paid, Top Grossing) in up to 10 storefronts at once; Apple's public feed lists the top 100, Google Play's up to 200. - [Character counter](https://appdrift.co/tools/character-counter): Live length checks for every App Store and Google Play metadata field. - [Screenshot sizes](https://appdrift.co/screenshot-sizes): Required App Store and Google Play screenshot dimensions by device. - [Screenshot resizer](https://appdrift.co/tools/screenshot-resizer): Checks screenshots against App Store Connect and Google Play rules (accepted sizes, alpha channel, Google's 2:1 ratio) and resizes them without an alpha channel; runs in the browser, nothing is uploaded. - [App icon generator](https://appdrift.co/tools/app-icon-generator): One image to an Xcode AppIcon set without an alpha channel, Android adaptive icons, the 512 px Google Play icon and Expo assets; runs in the browser. ## API and MCP - [MCP server and REST API](https://appdrift.co/mcp): Read tracked ranks, page-one opportunities and the Action Plan, generate or translate listing text and apply accepted fields to an editable draft from Claude, Cursor or any MCP client; nothing is published to a store. Included on paid plans (Basic, Indie and Studio). - [MCP setup guide](https://appdrift.co/docs/mcp): Install with `npx -y appdrift-mcp` and an `APPDRIFT_API_KEY` from the Developers dashboard (Node.js 22 or later); a versioned archive is also hosted at https://appdrift.co/downloads/appdrift-mcp-0.2.0.tgz. - [REST API reference](https://appdrift.co/docs/api-reference): Bearer-key endpoints, token costs, webhooks and rate limits; the OpenAPI 3.1 spec is at https://appdrift-backend-1fabfc95f592.herokuapp.com/.well-known/openapi.json. - [Store-Ops API for platforms](https://appdrift.co/for-platforms): Generate, localize, stage and track listings per tenant for AI app builders and white-label platforms; volume pricing by conversation. ## Documentation - [Documentation home](https://appdrift.co/docs): Task-based guides for screenshots, keyword tracking and listing updates. - [Quick start](https://appdrift.co/docs/quickstart): Choose a first task and learn when Free, paid plans, tokens and store connections apply. - [Screenshots guide](https://appdrift.co/docs/screenshots): Capture, edit and export a screenshot campaign. - [Listing updates guide](https://appdrift.co/docs/listing-updates): Edit and translate, collect optional approval and check results. - [App Store Connect setup](https://appdrift.co/docs/apple-setup): Configure an App Store Connect API key. - [Google Play setup](https://appdrift.co/docs/google-setup): Configure a Google Play service account. - [Security and store access](https://appdrift.co/docs/security): Email verification, key permissions, credential storage and revoking access. - [Troubleshooting](https://appdrift.co/docs/troubleshooting): Saving, exports, template access, translations, store connections and missing reports. ## Comparisons - [22 best ASO tools in 2026](https://appdrift.co/blog/15-best-app-store-optimization-tools): Free plans, trials, keyword caps and dated prices for 22 tools, AppDrift included. - [Best ASO APIs in 2026](https://appdrift.co/blog/aso-api-providers): 19 app-store data sources for dashboards and AI agents, compared by data, stores, published price, free option and MCP support: Apple and Google first-party APIs, market-data APIs and pay-per-search APIs, checked September 24, 2026. - [Best ASO agencies and services in 2026](https://appdrift.co/blog/best-aso-agencies): 19 agencies (14 with the minimum budget they list on Clutch), published ASO price ranges by type of help (freelancer, audit, fixed package, retainer), how directory rankings are paid for, and red flags such as bought installs or reviews; AppDrift's own fixed-price packages are disclosed.
