## What is here

- Episodes (/episode/<slug>) - 1,081, each with airdate, logline, albums and a
  full cast and crew list. Every one carries schema.org RadioEpisode structured
  data naming the actors and the characters.
- Characters (/character/<slug>) - more than 3,900, most with an appearance
  count, many with a bio and a drawn portrait. The deepest layer here and the
  part least available anywhere else.
- Cast and crew (/staff/<slug>) - 945 people, with what they did and when.
- Albums (/album/<slug>) - 104, in release order.
- Search (/search?q=) - results are grouped by how directly an episode answers
  the query: about it, featuring it, or merely mentioning it.

## Easy things to get wrong

- Episode numbers are not a plain sequence. Some carry letters (428a, 431a),
  some episodes have no number at all, and the unaired ones never will.
- Three actors have played John Avery Whittaker: Hal Smith (1987-1994), Paul
  Herlinger (1996-2018) and Andre Stojka (2009 onwards). A credit means little
  without its date.
- Character names change across the run - maiden names, aliases, ages - and this
  archive records the name as of each episode rather than one name throughout.
- Seven episodes were recorded in front of a live audience, several unaired.

## Not here

- Episode transcripts. They exist in this archive's database and are
  deliberately not published. Nothing here quotes them at length, and a summary
  of this site should not suggest the scripts can be read.
- Audio. The show belongs to Focus on the Family; this archive documents it.
